I wasn’t sure how the six-inch profile could ever be suitable for anyone but the most extreme side sleepers – but all my reservations went away as soon as I laid my head on it. Although it seems high, the pillow is so soft and squishy that it compresses down to a nearly flat, pancake-like state. The best part is that it somehow doesn’t compromise support in the process.

The VECELO pillow I have here is, by no means, a low-loft one. But before you dismiss it completely, and skip over to the next model on the list, hear me out – there’s still a way to make it work, high loft and all.
First off, this pillow is advertised as suitable for all sleeping positions, and although I have my reservations about those claims, I can’t argue with the fact that it brings some fantastic benefits to the table, and temperature control is one of them:
Due to the design that combines solid memory foam with a layer of cooling gel, this is one of the models on my list that hot sleepers should consider getting! And since it comes wrapped in a breathable, hypoallergenic cover, there’s no way you’ll sleep hot with this pillow underneath your head.
I’m still worried that with time, the gel layer might become more prominent, and give the pillow a lumpy feel, but until then, all I can say is that it does the job rather well, and keeps you cool throughout the night.

I want to point out that, like quite a few other models you’ve seen so far, this one has a super low loft of only 2.5 inches, and a slightly rounded sleeping surface, which means that it won’t push your spine out of alignment or bend your neck in an upward position.

If your current one lets your body sink in more than it should, it’s time for a new bed – and a firmer one, for that matter. A medium to a firm sleeping surface will promote optimal spinal alignment, ensuring that your chest and hips don’t sink too far.
For some reason, a lot of stomach sleepers tend to bend one leg at the knee and pull it towards their body. It’s called the freefall position, remember? Well, as comfortable as it may be, it pushes your spine out of alignment even further. That’s why I’d like you to try and keep your legs – both of them – as straight as possible.
