At the age of 22 I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo.I spent 8 years after that having a total of 15 surgeries ultimately with a full hysto.I am now 37 and for the last 5 years have had chronic widespread pain.I have had a ton of MRI’s showing constant swelling in hips and back.Also suffer from a hip labrum that keeps tearing.Have been diagnosed with fibro and cfs as well.Despite all this proof I still have to fight tooth and nail to get pain relief.I work 50 hrs a week and have 2 teens.All I want is to get thru day to day comfortably.Partly because I am young(ish) my doc tells me I have to learn to deal.I have done all that has been asked as far as therapy and all.Currently get 60 oxycodone a month which works pretty well.However every month I have to beg to be kept on them to my doc.I am not sure what more proof she wants to see to prove I live daily in pain.I feel like crap every month having to ask for a script and get a lecture everytime.Makes me very depressed and ashamed.Tell me how THAT is theraputec? |
