I was an intractable pain pt for most of the last 30 years and served as an on/off advocate for fellow pain pts. While its been too many years since I’ve practiced law or been involved in such advocacy/activism, I have become interested in doing so again thanks largely to pain relief, reading previously neglected PRN newsletters and recent experiences with a primary care doc for whom opiophobia would be too charitable a characterization. And, for what its worth, although I join as a pain pt, my pain has thankfully not been active for almost a year. So, I now consider myself a supporter. |
