The Pain Relief Network

I have been suffering from chronic pain for at least the last 10 years in a large area of the right side of my neck going up into my head (I have a headache everyday of my life and when the pain flares they are intolerable), the upper shoulder and back area. I did have have a disc fusion on C5-6 about 12 years ago that left me with no use of my right arm. On the general pain scale of 1(the least) to 10 (the worst) my normal everyday pain number I live with is a 7. I get several flare-ups a month that can last anywhere from 4-7 days and then that number rises to 10+ and I am basically unable to function. I am a patient at a Pain Clinic in my area and have been for about 9 years but it is basically a joke. I am receiving at best inadequete treatment to deal with the pain. I have basically lost the last 12 years of my life as I can plan nothing as the pain prevents me from participating in any planned events. I’m basically home bound. My family does not know what else they can do. I live alone. I am so happy to have found this site. I hope I can learn what rights I have, what steps I may take, to gather information that may help me because at this point I can not take it much longer. Hey….maybe I’ll make a friend or two along the way.
